Hey Ballon Cart, do you accept commission? How can I contact you?

Hello Parisoft! I generally don't do commission work, but I'm happy to hear you out. I think you have my Discord, but let me know if you prefer to contact me some other way.

Sent you a message on discord

Love this asset pack so so much. Balloon Cart your work continues to stun! (I've been using this + forest zone a lot in my game)

Thank you so much! Your games are awesome, by the way!

very nice pack! great work inspired by a mix of nes zelda, link to the past and link’s awakening I would say :)

I'm happy you noticed the 'Link to the Past' influence. It was probably the game I referenced most. And thank you for the complement!

it was the vibe of the house surrounded by ledges! (which is also in minish cap now that I think about it)

This looks great man! Do you plan on more zelda inspired assets? im a huge fan.

Thank you! I'd like to add more biomes, enemies, and NPCs to this pack. But I can't promise anything soon. I'll try get an update out by February though.

Man, you can't seriously think that selling an asset like this is ok. It's pretty much this asset a little bit modified: https://www.spriters-resource.com/fullview/8928/.
A "tribute" it's a remind, a detail or a "feeling" that you menaged to convey into your asset, not the original asset recolored. Seriously speechless.

I referenced every early Zelda game, including the one you mentioned. However, I drew each sprite by hand; each sprite took hours to make. This asset pack is for people who want to make Zelda-like games, so many of the animations match up. I would never and have never stolen or recolored anyone's assets.

Not very cool to assume this is an asset flip. Balloon Cart produces well-made asset packs and has been up front with their source of inspiration.

Thank you, 2 Bit! It hurts to be accused of something like this. I appreciate you!

Listen, I could make a sheet comparison to show the actual copied frames, but I assume it's not interesting for anyone involved. I'm glad to see that, in Itch.io, you can literally "redraw" Nintendo's property and everyone are chill with it (aside from Nintendo that could strike any game with this asset in mere seconds). I can only add that it's easy to "take inspiration" when you literally take the material from sprite resources and sell it, but if everyone are cool with that who am I to judge.

I got the same response when I made a mario-like pack, so don't take it to heart. Great work on this pack, I've been planning to make a zelda-like myself so this is a good piece of inspiration.

Thanks, Vexed! I highly recommend making a pack like this. I personally learned a lot from doing pixel art in this perspective.
