Mid-Boss and Stage Hazards Added!


This update isn't as big as the first update, but it has a giant robot monkey! 

In true NES fashion, the mid-boss for this stage uses the background palette; However, unlike most large bosses from the NES era, I've opted for 4 frames of animation and a large projectile. I've also finished up the stage hazards and a multi-directional cannon. I tried to make a cool GIF to show the cannon off in more detail, but to keep the GIF's loop seamless, I couldn't show off the "multi-directional" part of the sprite. Here's the cannon animating in and out:

Making the Reactor Man asset pack has taught me a lot. I'm learning where most of the bottlenecks in my workflow are, and I'm working on improving them. Currently, the itch page and GIFs seem to be the biggest time wasters with deciding on color palettes and sprite sizing being the second biggest. I'm currently working on software that should eliminate most of these issues though. When it's ready, I'll release a version of it for itch.


My next asset pack's tileset is complete and might be available soon.
